NEET 2025 Registration Process
Candidates must follow these steps to successfully complete their NEET 2025 application:
Step 1: Register on the NTA NEET Portal
- Visit the official NEET 2025 website neet.nta.nic.in .
- Click on the “New Registration” link.
- Read the instructions carefully and proceed.
Step 2: Fill Out the NEET 2025 Application Form
Provide the following details in the online form:
- Personal Details – Name, Date of Birth, Gender, Nationality, Category, address Email address Mobile number etc.
- Academic Details – Class 10 & 12 board, passing year, marks obtained, You also have to fill Class 11th details etc.
- Identity Details – Aadhaar Number, Passport Number (for NRIs), or any other valid ID.
- APAAR ID Details – APAAR ID is mandatory for registration.

How to generate APAAR I’D for NEET Registration?
Student name as per Unified District. Information System for Education (UDISE) and Aadhaar Card
- Permanent Education Number (PEN)
- Date of Birth
- Gender
- Mobile Number
- Parents’ Names
- Aadhaar Number

Candidates must ensure that the personal information match with their Aadhaar details. The following steps must be followed to generate the APAAR ID:
- Visit the official website of Academic Bank of Credits (ABC)
- Click on ‘My Account’ and further select ‘Student’
- Click ‘Sign Up’ and enter mobile number, address and Aadhaar Card details to create a DigiLocker account, or click on ‘Sign in’ in case account already exists
- Give consent to share Aadhaar card details with ABC for KYC verification by clicking on ‘I Agree’ checkbox
- Enter the academic details
- Submit the form to generate APAAR ID.
- Choice of Medium for Question Paper – Select from available languages if You select English then you will get only English Paper but if You select any other language then You would get both selected and English language Paper.
- Emergency Contact Details – Mobile number & email for important communications.

Step 3: Upload Required Documents
Candidates must upload scanned copies of the following documents:

Step 4: Generate Security Pin & Pay Application Fee
- Candidates must enter the security pin to confirm submission.
- Proceed to pay the registration fee online via credit/debit card, net banking, or UPI.
Step 5: Print Confirmation Page
After successful payment, download and print the NEET 2025 application confirmation page for future reference.
NEET 2025 Exam Pattern (Updated)
For NEET 2025, the exam pattern has been slightly modified. Candidates must attempt all 180 questions.

Marking Scheme
- +4 marks for each correct answer.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET 2025
For Indian Candidates
- Must have passed or appeared in Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English as core subjects.
- Minimum 50% marks for General, 40% for SC/ST/OBC, and 45% for PwBD candidates.
- Minimum age: 17 years (as of 31st December 2025).
For NRI & Foreign Candidates
- NRI/Foreign students must have passed Class 12 or equivalent with PCB and English.
- NEET is mandatory for admission to Indian medical colleges.
Types of Medical Seats Available Through NEET
NEET offers admission to various medical seats across India:
- All India Quota (AIQ) Seats – 15% of government college seats.
- State Quota Seats – 85% seats in government medical colleges reserved for state-domicile students.

Scribe Facility for PwBD Candidates
Candidates with benchmark disabilities (PwBD) are allowed to avail a scribe.
- PwBD candidates must submit a valid disability certificate.
- The scribe must not be from a science background.
- The facility of Scribe and/or compensatory time shall be granted solely to those having difficulty in writing or 40 per cent benchmark difficulty
- Additional exam duration will be provided as per NEET norms.
Guidelines for Postcard Photo Upload
- Must have white background.
- Candidate’s name and date of photograph must be printed on the image.
- the postcard-size photo to be uploaded to the NEET 2025 application form, NTA has stated, “Postcard (4×6) Size Photo with file name as <‘first two characters of candidate name’> _Postcardphoto’ and in JPG/JPEG format.”
- Must be uploaded in JPG/JPEG format (10 KB – 200 KB).

NEET 2025 Application Qualifying Codes

Code 01 | The candidate is appearing in the qualifying examination or awaiting the result of the qualifying examination. He/ she must submit the result of the qualifying examination in the first round of counselling. |
Code 02 | The candidate has qualified for Class 12 or equivalent in the year 2024 or before. He/ she has not pursued any other course after the completion of Class 12. |
Code 03 | The candidate has completed the Intermediate/Pre-degree Examination in Science with Physics, Chemistry, Biology/Biotechnology, and English. (or) The candidate has completed the qualifying examination equivalent to Class 12 completed from a state board. |
